With eco-friendly options increasingly sought by men and the women who buy for them, Haggar Clothing Co.’s E-CLO Stria pant has become the #1 selling dress pant in America and perfect for a Fathers Day 2017 gift too. A pant that looks and feels great, E-CLO is partially made from recycled plastic bottles, enabling Haggar to save more than 125 million plastic bottles from landfills. Men buy E-CLO because they love how it makes them look and feel, but also because it is making a positive difference for the planet. The pant is also a great value with a price point typically around $35.
The more casual option, Haggar’s Life Khaki Sustainable Chino moves easily from office to after work activities. A stylish, slim-fit, flat-front chino with stretch doesn’t just fit well; it looks terrific and comes in a range of solid and heather options. The pant also typically sells for around $35.
How They’re Made
From bottles to fiber: Plastic bottles labeled with a #1 on the bottom are made of polyester called PET — polyethylene terephthalate. PET bottles are ground into flakes that are then transformed into REPREVE threads. The threads are woven into the fabric that is then dyed and used to make Haggar’s E-CLO dress pant and Life Khaki Sustainable Chino.
