Celebrities have always influenced fashion and always will and in 2016 we lost many celebrities who has certainly impacted fashion. Whether it’s Carrie Fisher for her iconic hairdo as Princess Leia or George Michael’s Freedom! ’90 music video starring, supermodels Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista and Christy Thurlington.
We remember many of the celebrities like David Bowie with his androgynous fashion looks and Prince too with his frills and iconic purple suit and heels from Purple Rain. We also remember First Lady Nancy Reagan with her gowns and singer/actress Vanity who was known for her lingerie sexy looks.
Muhammad Ali may not be known so much for fashion but his impact in boxing but he starred in Louis Vuitton campaigns reminding us of his star power and strength.
French designer Sonia Rykiel will forever be dubbed the ‘Queen of Knits’ known for her designer knitwear collections. Franca Sozzani, the editor-in-chief of Italian Vogue magazine reigned over the fashion empire from 1988 until her recent untimely death.
We pay tribute to some of the celebs that we lost this year and will definitely be missed for their influence and intellect.
