Dior unveiled its’ latest Cruise 2017 Collection at the Blenheim Palace, in Oxford, England today. Blenhein is one of England’s grandest palaces and traditionally the residence of the Duke of Marlborough and birthplace to wartime leader Winston Churchill. The residence is reminiscent of Christian Dior and Yves Saint Laurent from the 1950’s fashion era.
Show guests included Kate Mara and Elizabeth Olsen among others who traveled from London in a chartered train, with restored cars from the 1950’s. The collection is a modern contrast from the 1950 Dior era when looks were classic waist-figure silhouettes, to today’s more slouchy silhouettes while still maintaining the signature Dior bows, silks and embroideries. There were also African and Asian prints and velvet too. The collection was designed by Dior in-house design team led by Lucie Meier and Serge Ruffieux, with no head designer still in sight since Raf Simons exited the house in October 2015. Check out the collection and let us know which one is your fave/s.
