The latest Chanel Cruise 2016/2017 collection is inspired by Havana, Cuba. Karl Lagerfeld and the fashion aficionados ascended onto the shores of Havana, Cuba tonight to witness his latest collection. Anna Wintour, Grace Coddington and Gisele Bündchen were among the fashionistas that graced the Caribbean festivity. Set against a backdrop of colorful classic vintage cars and buildings that look like beautiful ruins, is exactly what has fascinated artists and visitors over the years and now designer Karl Lagerfeld as well.
The backdrop of Havana, Cuba is a gem for creators who dream of a life that is filled with parties and the good life. Ernest Hemingway is well known for depicting Cuba for its fishing expedition and a playground for the rich and famous. Barack Obama recently visited Havana, Cuba, after the United States announced it will re-establish its diplomatic relations with Cuba as well as lift the travel ban which will open for more travelling there by US citizens. Perhaps, these abstract visuals inspired Karl Lagerfeld to showcase his latest collection with fedoras, jackets, trousers and floral print dresses.
