For Spring/Summer 2016 at New York Men’s Fashion Week, designer Kang Dong Jun was inspired by the imagination of a lonely boy and his adventurous spirit. The fashion show was staged at Artbeam along with Ordinary People and presented by Concept Korea.
This theme is represented in Jun’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection through the juxtaposition of dark pieces and vibrant prints and pops of bright yellow and green.
Color usage includes, black and white with grey, mélange grey, green and yellow.
Materials: cotton, linen, polyester, acrylic, nylon and rayon.
Concept Korea is a collaborative initiative that promotes South Korean fashion designers by assisting them in their attempts to break into the U.S. market. The program is organized by Korea Creative Contents Agency, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, the Daegu Metropolitan City, and the Korea Research Institute for Fashion Industry.
