“Spring and summer always evoke a sensibility of excitement and renewal, and elicit imagery of the ocean for me. For spring 2016, I created an ultra luxurious, romantic collection inspired by muses and divinities of the sea. Ethereal dresses of the finest French silk and weightless laces, transparent layering, flowy silhouettes in a modern, fresh Couture approach.” – Victoria KyriaKides
The Victoria KyriaKides Haute Couture spring 2016 collection introduces truly unique elements, both in design and fabric, that are fashion-forward, elegant and timeless, at once. Victoria’s modern translation of a flowy ballgown is created from the finest silk organza or a new, extraordinary gossamer-like, French Chantilly lace which could convince any bride-to-be to choose a ballgown silhouette. True to Couture craftmanship, Victoria presents a new laser cut, magnified lace floral pattern which is sewn by hand on the finest tulle and embroidered with the most subtle clear sequin for the faintest hint of sparkle.
Innocent mermaid silhouettes of Chantilly lace look fresh with soft, airy flares. Transparent layers of various textured fabrics lay masterfully over one another and possess incredible movement. This collection redefines bridal, and makes a bride-to-be feel she is wearing something new and exciting. Victoria elevates pleating to a new Couture level applying the remarkably delicate fabrigami technique by hand. Long flowy trains gracefully adorn back sides, and low cut backs are appropriately sexy. And for the bride who prefers a fashion-forward separates look, a Cordone lace cropped vest is paired with most exquisite pair of ivory silk crepe wide-leg trousers or a masterfully organza pleated, flowy skirt.
