The International Esthetics, Cosmetics & Spa Conference 2014 was attended by beauty and spa professionals at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City from March 9th to 11th 2014.  It also coincided with The International Beauty Show held on those same dates which service similar beauty consumer demographics. Statista reports that; ‘Revenue of the U.S. employee wellness* market in 2011 was a whopping 1.46 billion U.S. dollars and expected to grow to 2.9 billion U.S. dollars by 2016.’

It is no surprise therefore, that beauty consumers continue to be enticed by products that were available at the IECSC Conference this year.  There were skin care treatment kits to exfoliate, activate and illuminate your skin, and devices with radio and high frequency technology to treat skin tags and fribromas. In addition, there were educational classes by Lisa Starr, a consultant on site that offered ‘Global Spa Innovations & Trends.’  The business side for spa services is also important and Nancy Griffin, Principal at Contento Marketing Group was on-site to offer, ‘The Seven Habits of Highly Successful Spa Marketers.’

Many new products were unveiled at this year’s IECSC Conference too which included the; BioElixia’s Cellulite Contour Creme and FIT Bodywrap. BioElixia’s Cellulite Contour Creme promises to reduce cellulite while hydrating the skin and incorporates a new groundbreaking TPM dermal Delivery Technology. FIT Bodywrap is a infrared heat bodywrap system that promises to melt fats and toxins, thus allowing you to lose weight and detoxify. With all the new additions and advancement that is being offered, it is no wonder that consumer spending will continue to grow significantly by 2016.  This demonstrates that these products continue to be in demand and consumers want to look and feel good to live longer too.
