It takes a lot to put a smile back on my face after queuing the rain, but thankfully Jean- Pierre Braganza’s London Fashion Week collection was just the fashion fix this diva needed.
Dominating the collection was Black leather. Paired most strikingly with asymmetric monochrome prints, for a grunge inspired moment owing much to a gothic femme fatale. My favorite pieces were a tailored coat trimmed in print and leather and a stunning leather top, with cascading half zipped sleeves, matched with floor length print skirt.
What I loved about the collection was it’s diversity and wearability. Power dressing for women can be a difficult balance between structure and femininity, but Braganza fuses soft and hard tailoring in an easy accessible way and displayed an array of designs catering to every empowered woman.
His soft tailoring expertise was exquisitely displayed in several mediums. First with a gorgeous navy shawl collar, three-quarter length trouser suit and then within a series of biblical prints which featured on silk skirts and elegantly sashed long sleeve tops. Honorable mention must also go a stunning over-sized grey blazer, trimmed in leather and a must have black and white print coat, which was layered over a black dress again, trimmed with leather.
I left feeling excited and revitalized and all before my next latte.
