Top American couturier Dore returned to the fashion capital of the world for New York Fashion Week to showcase their new Ready to Wear and Evening Wear collections. Dore Head Designer and CEO Dawn Smart describes the type of woman that inspires their 2014 collections as: “The Dore muse is an empowered, strong female who stands apart from all others in any setting. She has international influences and a European flair.  Her wardrobe is filled with head turning pieces that marry with timeless separates for a seamless approach to long-term fashion. She creates the trends.”

Known for impeccable quality and their longtime partnership with Swarovski Elements, Dore’s RTW, Evening Wear and Evening Separates featured French corded lace, luxurious Italian stretch fabrics, English wool and cashmere knits, Indian silk, hand-painting and sumptuous designer weight jersey. For over 35 years, Dore Designs has remained fervent in their mission: cutting edge fashion, the finest of fabrics and unsurpassed quality of construction to produce the best Ballroom, Performance Wear and Evening Gowns available in the United States.

Masters of motion, Smart and her expert Florida atelier are known for their exceptional Ballroom gowns and Performance Wear. They have been lauded for their work dressing the Knicks City Dancers, Olympic Ice Dancers and stars of “So You Think You Can Dance.” Dore’s avant-garde approach to their dynamic designs has been filmed for two upcoming reality shows, including TLC’s “Ballroom Blitz” and Ryan Seacrest’s “Montecito Ballroom” project on A&E. This past summer, in Broadway’s “Forever Tango”, Karina Smirnoff and Maxim Chermovsky were also dressed by Dore.   The top American couturier for the Ballroom industry for over 35 years, Dore Designs can be found on almost every Ballroom Dance floor in the fast-growing Pro-Amateur competition sphere – on world champions, finalists and dance novices. The company sponsors 42 professional Ballroom couples in the United States and Canada.

Dore produces over 1,000 ballroom gowns a year, each unique and one-of-a-kind formed to the wearer’s explicit measurements and carriage. Dore uses only the best of fabrics available in silk, velvet, elastin, jersey, and crepe and designing with exclusively Swarovski Crystals, as well as appliques and 3-D elements such as Swarovski-encrusted butterflies, silk petals, feathers and even fur.
