It makes good business sense for the ads to appear exclusively online because, today’s consumers and fashionistas are solely utilising social media channels such as iPads, Tumblr and Blogs to get their information. From a cost savings perspective, to place these ads in all the fashion mags is probably for sheer fashion play and costly, but online, the ROI is on clicks and impressions. Strategically, they really end up online anyway where all the information is being shared and filtered in minutes, into all the digital channels and mediums for a market that has significantly changed in the way marketing is done.
